Impington Village College is proud to present BBC School News Report. More than 700 schools from across the UK - and a number of international schools - participated in BBC School Report News Day 2010. This is our second year of being involved in BBC School News Report and we can honestly say that the event has been even bigger, better and bolder than last year. The main outcome of the day was for students to research, present and film their own news stories in less than six hours, experiencing the highs and the lows of broadcast journalism.
Year 9 students were given the opportunity to take part in the project with the help of Year 10 students acting as mentors. The Year 10 students, who did the project last year, completely understood the pressures involved in having to meet the 3:00 deadline. Students from the sixth form helped with direction and editing. The pressure was mounting as the deadline grew ever nearer, and it was touch and go for a while. Did the budding journalists pull it off? Watch these reports to find out for yourself.
We'd like to thank all the sixth formers who helped out, Wade, Elliott and Rob, as well as Mrs. Kelsall and Mrs. Fadipe for coordinating the event.
